Summer Lovin': Acquire New Customers Now

      By Evan Adlman
      Director, Business Operations

Summer is almost here. Time to roll out some summer campaign ideas.
Executing a lead generation campaign capturing email addresses while most folks are out enjoying sun and sand can be a challenge. But it's a lot easier if you use the season to your advantage. What types of content could you offer to make people give you a few minutes of time and fill out a form?

Print and color pages: It might seem quaint with some many minivans sporting the multiple DVD players, but some good off-screen fun can also help keep kids occupied during long car trips this summer. Offer harried parents a quick and easy download experience and promise more pages for back to school, Halloween and the holidays.

Pre-vacation checklist: The summer vacation season doesn't have to be all about consumers. Use a pre-vacation checklist (i.e., "Turn on out of office message" and "Ask someone to water your plant.") to help busy executives get ready for some much needed R&R. You can customize this content for your audience and create checklists for the IT administrator, sales guy or executive assistant.

Fun summer quizzes: Take advantage of the fact that offices slow down in the summer and lots of folks are looking for diversions by sending a summer movie quiz.

Classic summer recipes: Entice prospects with a recipe-a-week program. Send a different classic dish - lemonade, potato salad -- each week. Outdoor entertaining ideas and party checklists are also good lead generators.

Generating leads and acquiring new customers during the summer doesn't have to be hard. Just work with some seasonal themes and you'll have success every time.
